World Network and Visa Partnership Talks Revealed

Altcoin Daily shared on X that World Network contacted Visa to include card functions in its self-custody crypto wallet. The network also submitted product requests to card issuers, according to CoinDesk. The partnership focuses on foreign exchange features, fiat on-ramps, and stablecoin payments.

World Network, once known as Worldcoin, works with Rain, which provides on-chain Visa cards for Optimism and Avalanche. Earlier this month, World Network launched World Chat, allowing peer-to-peer crypto transfers between verified users. The project aims to create a secure mini-bank account for users everywhere.

Stablecoin Wallet Development Progress

The platform will let users store, exchange, and spend both fiat and crypto through Visa-linked cards. This integration will improve access to merchants and boost financial utility. The iris-based identification system built by Worldcoin continues to attract attention.

The World ID protocol and World App wallet support secure communication. The beta release of World Chat includes encrypted messaging and verified identity functions. World Network also plans to move into foreign exchange trading and advanced identity services.

The system will handle real-time stablecoin transactions across Visa’s global network. Pluie and Rain, two crypto service providers, support these efforts with backing from Coinbase and Circle. Rain recently raised $24.5 million from Norwest Venture Partners and Galaxy Digital.

These combined resources will help expand crypto financial services worldwide. Major card brands like Mastercard are working on similar projects. Visa has yet to release a public statement about these talks.

Tools for Humanity and Rain also chose not to comment. World Network continues to develop its platform to connect finance, messaging, and identity verification for institutions and individuals.
